My husband bought me a Ashford Traveller Spinning Wheel. It is a gently used wheel and is finished, this is a good thing.
It arrived yesterday and last night was spent trying to put it together. I had downloaded the Ashford Instructions as well as using the books that a friend loaned me. Something is not right, but I am pretty certain I am close to have this correct.
Soon I will have a functioning wheel and I can begin destroying roving while I learn how to spin. My goal is to make my own lave weight and fingering/sock weight yarns. I also need to think about plying and finishing the yarn. But that is next, I want to get the wheel working 100% first.
